The rain stopped so we went for a walk in the park.
We enjoyed watching two pairs of
Hooded Mergansers.
The Mallards swam with the gulls.Hooded Mergansers.
I was charmed when I saw English Daisies growing wild.
We did not make daisy chains.
Perhaps next time we will pack a picinic and bring a kite.

I love the daisies.....I have them in my grass....they have not arrived yet, they are waiting for warmer weather.......Poppi and I make daisy necklaces and bracelets every summer.....this year we will make a headdress.......

I thought of you and Poppi when I saw the daisies. I do not have them in my yard...only clover.
When my children were young I would sit with them and make clover chains. Maybe you will dry a daisy chain that Poppi makes this summer. Do hope you take a photograph to share.
It was very rainy in the Pacific Northwest while we were there. I am pleased to have a few wildlife photographs. When the rain stopped, for about two hours, we took our walk. It clouded up and started misting. I think I need to get rain gear for the cameras!
It was cold too!

But I'm sure it was warm and cozy with your daughter and son-in-love.

Dear Wendy,
It was a lovely park. We stayed for about an hour before heading back to our daughter's house.
The four of us play cribbage so after supper each night we had our cribbage tourney. So much fun.
I love the sound of my daughter's laughter. I need to hear it more often!
