Painted Hills Unit
We were told the best time to view the Painted Hills was at sunset.
They were correct.
Looking at the photographs reminds me of the awe I felt when I saw the landscape.
I am a Tall Grass Prairie girl.
I am accustomed to green trees and grasses.
This landscape left me speechless.
These are paleo-soils.
Wow!
