Dear Sue, We had lots of fun. It was cold but the exhibts were all inside. I felt as if I had traveled to a far away tropical island. Glad you also enjoyed the winter break. Happy New Year, Sherry
Dear Cheryl, This is an amazing zoo. We spent 6 hours enjoying 4 exhibits! The aquarium is huge. I felt as if I was in it yet my hair was dry...the butterflies were why we went. I needed a few butterflies to start the New Year! So happy you enjoyed the slide show. Sherry
This is a wonderful collecton of photos of your Safari. I was just saying to myself "I wonder where they were?" when you had the Zoo's name at the end. I bet your head was spinning with seeing all that beautiful color. You got some fantastic shots too.
Dear Lisa, So glad you enjoyed the safari! With 3 cameras, 6 lens and two photographers we were able to amaze almost 1700 photographs. I have gone through them once and will cull again before I back up on a disc. Very fun adventure. I like these short hops. Hope to do some more 3 and 4 day outings in 2009. Sherry
Dear Cathy, Oh my goodness I forgot to tell about the music! Claude Bolling is my favorite. Here he is playing "Sentinentale" with Jean-Pirre Rampal on flute. This is off the cd "Suite for flute and Jazz Piano Trio." I was in heaven...there are so many fantastic creatures in our world. I hope and pray people take care of them. Happy New Year! Sherry
Dear Mary, This is a world class zoo! Very wonderful exhibits. We were there for 6 1/2 hours and only did four exhibits. We had fun doing other things too. Some nice shopping. Glad you enjoyed the slide show. Hope you enjoyed your winter break. I loved your safari to the grocery store pond...the Kingfisher is an exotic bird! Sherry
Did you come visit and I didn't know?!?!? LOL! The sea life and so many of the butterflies I work with are here. It is almost as if you escaped to the Caribbean for a weekend! Fantastic!
Dear Mimi, It was just like a Caribbean get away only I was in long underwear and mittens. I did enjoy seeing the amazing desert birds too. I thought of Meggie, in New Zealand, when I saw the wallabies. I love Penguins. I have mixed feelings about all of the zoo. While I am watching the creatures I feel as if they should be put back into the wild. The butterflies seem to be happy. They seem to have plenty of room to fly about and have a full life span. The other animals all seem sad... I will come see you and your butterflies one of these days. Hugs, Sherry
Dear Wendy, It is 13 degrees this morning after a high of 63 yesterday...the temperatures are crazy...this safari was regulated and beautiful...I too loved the aquarium creatures. I understand artificial enviroment, I am sitting with a cup of coffee and a space heater... I already miss the butterflies. Hugs, Sherry

Love this - a glorious variety of colorful faces and wings. A mini-vacation, for me! Thanks, Sherry!
