Dear Sprite,
The old growth forest is Heaven on Earth! The Lodge is "people comfort" and very, very nice. Easily I could return and spend a week. I would hike and read and gaze at the lake. We did not rent canoes to go out on the lake so that would be fun to do too.
I did not see any butterflies in or near the forest so I would like to go back during butterfly time too. The world is so beautiful...
It is a joy to share this adventure. Thank you for enjoying it.

Dear Mary,
You would love Lake Quinalt Lodge. No tv or golf but lots of open clean air and water! Birds and fish to watch and yummy meals in the beautiful dining room.
I think a week here would be divine.
